ChristianGay - This website's outreach is primarily to the Gay community but also to the World to proclaim the Truth of God's Love. "He Loves You No Matter What They Say", is the TRUTH that restores and strengthens ALL as Christians AND affirms our acceptance by God as Gay through a study of the scriptures. This website was designed to present the Biblical Truth of God's Love for ALL and that His Love IS NOT dependent upon our sexual orientation. LightLines - Founded in 1994, LightLines seeks to offer tools for individual spiritual growth. It is our philosophy that no single person, belief system or institution has the only way for an individual human being on their spiritual journey. We offer alternative information and skills, designed for each person to construct their own, unique pathway to Spirit. It is our mission to facilitate healing for the planet and her inhabitants by living a Spirit-centered life and by teaching others how to become more fully empowered in their daily lives. Our founders, Rev. Kevin Ross Emery and Rev. Tommy Hensel, combine their energies as both business and life partners, creating a powerful energy in training, teaching and helping others to find their unique pathway to empowerment. LightLines offers a number of unique services and trainings, all designed to work with the practical application of spiritual principles. Kevin and Tommy both subscribe to the philosophy that 'if you cannot use it today, then it is useless for you.' These specialized services include Combing The Mirror Spiritual Coaching, Invisible Armor Training, Wei Chi Tibetan Reiki treatments and trainings, Synergy Business Consulting and individual spiritual counseling sessions, both in person and via phone. Gay and lesbian ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of California - Oasis/California is the gay and lesbian ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of California, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our vision is to celebrate God's presence in gay and lesbian life and to advocate justice for lesbian and gay people. Episcopal Church of St. John the Evangelist, San Francisco - The Episcopal Church of St. John the Evangelist in San Francisco is a community of faith welcoming ALL people. We invite you to join us! Affirmation - Gay & Lesbian Mormons - In this rigid faith, homosexuality alone is grounds for excommunication (as was publicly supporting the Equal Rights Amendment for women in the late 1970s) -- although heterosexual polygamy is conceptually allowed. The basic Mormon religious legend is interesting (and uniquely American): the lost tribe of Israel -- a bunch of white settlers -- landed in North America centuries ago, battled the dark-skinned heathen, set forth a code of conduct and were eventually wiped out ... but not before leaving behind some golden books written in a strange language which Joseph Smith found in Upstate New York in the 1800s with the help of an angel who also helped translate the books before the books were lost again forever. Any questions? That said, this site for Gay Mormons is very useful for those dealing with the homophobic intolerance of the Elders. Lots of links. Quite interesting. Well designed. Gateway Monastery - This small community of gay monks is guided by Buddhist as well as Catholic principles; by compassion and love within a community of gay men who have the desire to devote themselves to meditation, prayer, and community service in helping others; to give support and counseling to other gay men in crisis or in denial or in despair; and to help the general community in developing compassion and charity within their own lives. White Crane: A Journal of Gay Men's Spirituality - White Crane Journal has been in publication for 8 years. It is non-Church-linked, publishing articles on topics of gay men's spirituality from a variety of Christian and non-Christian, theist and non-theist, traditions. White Crane was started by Bob Barzan, a former Jesuit priest living in San Francisco. A year ago publication was taken over by Toby Johnson, a gay novelist and student of the renowned religions scholar and mythologist Joseph Campbell. The Journal is published quarterly to a relatively small subscription list. Copies are available in select gay and lesbian bookstores around the country. The web page siteinfo/includes excerpts from past issues. White Crane is published at Peregrine's Perspective, a B&B-style country retreat in the Rocky Mountains outside Denver. Gay Spirit Visions Home Page - We create safe spaces for gay men to discover and celebrate their tribal identity, and to encourage each man on his chosen spiritual path. We are nurturing powerful gay men to assume their rightful roles in the world as healers, creatives, mediators and visionaries Universal Fellowship Metropolitan Community Church - World Headquarters - MCC or UFMCC (whichever name you know it as) is a worldwide Protestant denomination church created by and for the Queer community. Founded in California, chapters exist around the globe. Links to many MCC congregations in the United States, Canada and Europe. The site also has information on "Homosexuality and the Bible," religious thoughts on HIV/AIDS, community and more. United Church of Christ - UCC is very similar to the Unitarians in their progressive political heritage -- although UCC is decidedly more theologically Protestant. The attractive-looking site features extensive articles on a wide variety of topics. Follow the menu options under the headings "UCC Headlines" and "Justice & Peace" for the gay-related links. Extensive attacks on the "Religious Right," too. AXIOS (Eastern and Orthodox Gay & Lesbian Christians) - Founded in the USA, this group also has chapters in Canada and Australia. AXIOS holds prayer meetings and provides support services for Queers of Eastern & Orthodox faith. Info and contacts for AXIOS, plus diverse links to sites like the Orthodox Page, Medieval Latin, the Old Catholic Homepage, Guide to Christian Literature on the Net, and more. Unattractive gray default page appearance, though. Seventh-Day Adventist Kinship International - SDA Kinship is a support group which ministers to the spiritual, emotional, social and physical well-being of Queer Seventh-Day Adventists and their friends. This site emphatically explains it is not affiliated in any way with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Mainly text, with some regional contact information. |
